Candidatei-me online. Fui entrevistado pela Macy's (Aiea, HI) em jul. de 2013
Entrevista
I applied online for a part time retail position and on the same week I got an email asking me to schedule an interview. They then gave me a confirmation email about the scheduled date and directions on where to go for the interview. On the day of, I went to the interview location 15 minutes before my scheduled time, which was at the Executive Offices, and waited until someone called me in. A very nice lady called me into a room, labeled on the door "Training Room" and told me to sit down.
Before going to the interview, I've researched on Glassdoor on how to handle interviews and read a lot of reviews saying that the supervisor/interviewer didn't bother to look at them all throughout the process. Most of the reviews I've read described the supervisor as having a sort of cold attitude. So I went into this interview expecting the worse. But as I sat down and started my interview, the lady quickly said that I shouldn't be nervous because it is MY interview. She assured me to just be myself and take my time answering questions. I was extremely relieved to know that my interviewer is nice and, honestly, a motherly type of figure. I find motherly type of employers are the best. We spoke almost casually, but I was careful to not sound too casual and sound more professional. A lot of the questions she asked me were behavioral/ethical type of questions like "Tell me a time when you were in a group, and someone in the group didn't do what they were supposed to do. What did you do about the situation?" <--Something like that. Other questions that were pretty difficult dealt with sales and how to upscale a sale to make it into a bigger sale. Or "How would you celebrate a sale?"
When I finished the interview, she said she liked my attitude, hired me on the spot and we talked about paperwork, orientation and training. I was hired as a part time retail associate in the Women's clothing department. I later found out that the lady that was interviewing me was the Women's clothing department manager and it was really awesome to know that she really liked my attitude.

Virtue first. Then, at the store. Interview questions are not hard but hiring manager/s are sketchy. They posted part time positions but when I got into the interview they said their looking for people wanting full time job. So unprofessional to take my time.

Basic interview process. Applied online and was called in for an interview about a week later. Nothing crazy or out of the ordinary. No assessments needed. I talked about 2 managers.
