This interview process insulted me and wasted a lot of my time
Someone from mambu contacted me for a job, had an interview with him then another one with HR before the actual recruitment process started. Both the HR and the person that approached me started pitching me this "low code" job that had nothing to do with what we talked about initially (python dev job).
Last interview I had was a phonescreen where I was told that I would have one more interview but I never heard from them again, even after I contacted them I got no feedback whatsoever...
I also received a link to one of their open source projects, the code standards were dissapointing: 20 parameter methods, 200-300 line method size, inconsistencies (some modules are fully OOP and some fully procedural) etc.
My take on this is that they are trying to find "low code" devs by baiting them first with another job and if you dont take the pitch you are silently rejected.

Questions asked were about: oop, uml, relational db, rest api, python.
Interviewer wanted me to have some irrelevant knowledge like knowing that in patch 3.x in python dictionaries went from unordered to ordered...
Interviewer skills seem subpar compare to other companies I went through

Interview process consisted of a 30-minute HR screen, a 1-hour call with the hiring manager, a 3-hour Go take-home assignment, and a final 1-hour technical discussion.
The process progressed to the final round despite a clear mismatch between how questions were posed and how answers were evaluated.
Several technical questions were underspecified. Attempts to clarify assumptions or constraints were treated negatively rather than used to align on the problem.
When answers did not match unspoken expectations, the discussion became adversarial instead of exploratory.
Evaluation favored prior fintech integration pattern familiarity over reasoning, problem framing, or explicit discussion of trade-offs.
Candidates without deep fintech integration background should clarify expectations early.

Applied in mid-September and got a quick initial response, but the process dragged on for over a month before I finally interviewed. The technical interview was terrible — a clear good cop/bad cop dynamic with interviewers who weren’t even part of the team I’d be joining. Hard pass, Mambu. I’m probably in for another month of waiting before getting one of those anonymous “thanks but no thanks” emails. Arrogance and greed killed tech.

Basic SD interview, where you have 30 minutes to draft an architecture for a year long project , and where the interviewer expects to hear buzzwords (Idempotent! Scalable! HA!)
