      Entrevista

      I was contacted about a month after I applied for the position from an HR rep, who screened me on the skills I have, desired salary, open to relocation, etc. After that phone, I was scheduled to do a phone interview with two managers. The first half of the interview consisted of a rapid fire Q&A about whether I knew certain programming languages/used certain software. Most of the languages and software that I was asked about was not included in the job description as a requirement. During the second half, we discussed what I am looking for in a job, more about relocating out to Shady Grove from a bigger city, and other general questions like that. About a week after that, I was contacted about setting up an onsite interview, and I was flown out to Shady Grove the following week. HR was very good about handling the travel accommodations, and it was a relatively easy trip for me. The interview itself was about 6 hours, and I spoke with 5 different people. Two of them were non-technical interviews, seeing how I would fit in with the company and if I could explain certain topics to someone who may not understand technical terms. The other two interviews were much more technical, going in dept on skills that I have listed on my resume, as well as those necessary for the job. The final person I spoke with gave me a tour of the plant, where we had a more casual conversation about the company and working there. I spoke with each person individually for 45 minutes, and we all went out to lunch together, which was very good. Overall, everyone I spoke with was very friendly, and I felt at ease talking to each person. About a month after the interview, I had contacted HR asking if a decision has been made about the position, but I got no response, which makes me assume I didn't get the position. While I am disappointed about that, I had a very positive experience throughout this entire interview process.
