I was contacted by the recruiter who mentioned that MasterCard was impressed with my experience and that they would like to set up an interview only for them not to show up to the virtual interview and "ghost" my follow-up inquiries. Recruiters and hirers are busy, no doubt, but to be ghosted without being given the courtesy of an explanation is a step too far. I'm not sure if this disrespectful pattern is endemic to MasterCard but it's enough for me to warn people of my experience because people deserve to be treated with respect.
