3 step process, with work sample. HR recruiter, hiring supervisor, and then a longer interview with 3 separate people. Asked a lot of your basic personality questions, and some about my research experience.
Initial screening phone call with HR. A separate one on one with hiring manager. Then a final round with about 8 staff in adjacent roles. Mostly involved behavioral questions, some about policy interests.

Phone screen plus in person. In person met with potential supervisor, senior leader and peers. Interviews were conversational and interviewees were approachable. Overall, good experience. Had a chance to ask questions of my own.
