The interview process with all Developmental Disability Waiver facilities such as Maxcare, Ability First, Arca are a total sham and a mockery of the prospective employees status. Whether the interviewee has 10 years nursing experience or not it is treated as someone who must be payed the lowest amount possible because supposedly only after working in a DD waiver facility the individual gains experience. Of course this represents only a form of control, of manipulation and deceit and it is only possible in light of the severe rate of unemployment and high rate of applications and the fact that employers are never held accountable by any body of law. To be able to prove anything one would require a lawyer and lots of finances and the gain would be nonexistent.
