      Entrevista para Executive Assistant/Office Manager

      Candidatura

Candidatei-me por indicação de um funcionário. O processo levou mais de 1 semana. Fui entrevistado pela MedHelp International (San Francisco, CA) em ago. de 2010

      Entrevista

Although the MedHelp office is on the edge of a rough block in San Francisco, the design of the office is absolutely stunning. When I arrived for my first interview I noticed the beautifully exposed brick walls, high ceilings, and hard wood floors. The glass conference rooms and completely open floor plan really give you a sense of how close everyone works with each other. My first interview took about 3 hours and I met with 3 different employees. Right off the bat, they made it extremely clear that MedHelp was a place for long hours and hard work. I got the impression that everyone pulled more than their fair share of weight and no one worked less than 9 hours a day. As far as the basic outline of the interview questions, I don't remember anything being out of the ordinary... that is, until I met with the CEO. When I first met with the CEO we talked about the long history of the office building, our mutual love of photography, and our love of our huge, ethnic families. The conversation came so easily that not once in the entire hour did we discuss anything job related! I had to make another appointment to come back and have a proper interview with him. The second interview was much more intense than the first. I was given mathematical word problems and clever riddles to try and work out on the white board. As someone who had not taken a math course in over a decade, I was pretty shaken up. I did not get either of the questions correct and by the time the interview was over I was completely unsure of my standing. To my surprise, I received a phone call 3 days later congratulating me on my successful interview and offering me the position! I was told that I had "passed all the tests with flying colors". I gratefully accepted the offer and I have been working with MedHelp ever since.

      Pergunta 1

The word problems caught me totally off guard! It was obvious that the point of these riddles was not to find the correct answer; but to see how you work out your problems, what steps you take to find solutions, and how well you handle discipline.
