The interview/hiring process with Medallia is like none other. The level of engagement throughout each step of the process is amazing. It was the most intense interview process I've been through and, by far, the most rewarding. My point of contact also happened to be the hiring manager - and he did a fantastic job of keeping me engaged, guiding me through the process, and putting me at ease when my nerves tried to get the best of me. We kicked things off with an exploratory chat with the hiring manager. He started by asking me the usual questions about what's important to me and what I'm looking for in my next opportunity, then opened it up for any questions I had for him. We had a really good chat - but I literally just became open to exploring new opportunities and had some reservations about jumping right into interviews. He extended an invitation for lunch and a tour of the office, which I really enjoyed. I was doing a lot of soul searching at the time to figure out what I wanted next, and this allowed me to see the office in motion without the pressure of formal interviews. The actual interview process included a Skype interview and two rounds of onsite interviews - by design to accommodate my schedule. The slate consisted of 2 role-related interviews (Talent Acquisition), a client/stakeholder interview (Engineering), a cross-functional interview, and a roundtable-like session to talk through the work sample (or "challenge"). The process can seem to be a bit lengthy since you meet with multiple people and each interview lasts for an hour - but I ended up really appreciating this. It gave an opportunity to deep dive during each interview, which helped tremendously in my decision making process. These interview rounds are incredibly well executed and it's evident that a lot of thought is put into attracting and hiring the right people.
