Candidatei-me pessoalmente. Fui entrevistado pela Mediatonic em mai. de 2016
Entrevista
I was approached directly by internal HR and asked if I was interested in applying. I submitted my CV and then had a semi-technical telephone interview with a member of the team which I really enjoyed.
I was asked to complete a code test (create a simple API) and send it in with any other example of my code that I thought they'd like to see.
I enquired a few times over the next few weeks as to what was going on or if there was any feedback but didn't get anywhere. At no point was I explicitly told that I would or wouldn't get a face-to-face and no feedback was given. In the end I just assumed that they weren't interested.
They have obviously had a change of internal HR staff and I was approached almost a year to the day, asking if I was interested in applying. I mentioned my experience and I was told "that's not very good, I'll find out what happened and get back to you"! Alas, I am still waiting for some feedback so I'm not sure what, if anything, has changed.
I would much rather be told directly that I wasn't what they were after, or my code test hadn't meet their standard, or they didn't think I'd fit. At least it gives me a chance to consider if I'm applying for the right roles and using the right approach. Silence is just a but crap.
