Had the first interview over the phone. The recruiter asked the same 3 questions with different wording as if there was a checklist of questions in front of her. The questions were indirect so I didn’t know what she was actually asking. She asked only one question pertaining to the position I was to be hired for and did not seem to listen to any of my answers. I asked her a question and she was silent instead of answering me (I don’t think she was listening). Honestly the worst interview I have had in a while. I put that it was difficult because the questions just made little to no sense. I’m only reviewing the interview because I think the company should know that at least one of their recruiters might be the reason for bad interviews of good candidates. The person said they had been at the company for 19 years and with all of that experience I did not expect an interview to go so poorly.

Applied online and randomly heard back from the company about a month or so later. We set up a phone screening, which they asked general background and education questions. Seemed odd, but they focused solely on my undergraduate degree that was several years old, as opposed to my graduate degree. Went in for a 1:1 interview which lasted about 1.5 hours. First hour was basically a repetition of the phone interview, again with the most time spent going over my undergraduate course work. Zero focus on professional experience or graduate work. Last half hour was spent on a "test" to determine competency. Literally, a 3rd grader could answer 95% of the questions without hesitation. Got called back about a week later, and they scheduled a panel review and presentation for about a month and a half in the future. Gave the presentation in front of a group of 5, that lasted about 15-20 minutes, then discussed educational background. There were a few hypothetical questions pertaining to ethics, disagreements at work, etc.
