It was a lengthy interview process but all combined into one day. This is actually very helpful for someone who is working already so you don't have to take many days off through the process. A lot of reviews or opinions here of Medtronic say how the company is management top heavy. I do not think this accurate as the company has about 87k employees-it has to be top heavy to lead that many individuals. The company is great, and they are making an investment in you so the interview process may seem thorough (meeting with several managers for a non-management position) and slow, but that's inherent when you are doing things right and trying to hire the best person for the position.

The process was quick. Time from application to first phone interview with a recruiter to in-person interview with hiring manager to letter announcing that another candidate was selected took about one month. As someone who was just starting with new career search, the interview proved to be very informative. I will be sure to use the experience gained at that time for future opportunities.
