I applied for a GN position for January. Applications normally open up mid October. I received a call about a week after applying; I had a phone interview with the HR recruiter first. The HR recruiter and I discussed the areas in which I was most interested in, she then scheduled my interview in those areas. The first interview was with the nurse manager; I had a panel interview after that. A bit intense but everyone was pretty friendly. I received a call the next day after the panel interview with a job offer!
