Applied for 13 week contract RN. Ad stated new nurse and experienced nurses. Lower pay than contract through a recruiter but was excited for the opportunity to work locally and be home every day. Have been a travel nurse but not in a hospital. I didn't see this as a potential problem since the ad said new nurse or experienced nurse. Interview lasted 15min. Answered questions from a script. Was asked how I felt about being on the floor with minimal training, which I felt fine being that I have been doing that with my current travel RN work. Was called the next week and was told I was not chosen because I did not have recent experience with EPIC. I did EPIC in nursing school and it was not that difficult to utilize when you learn new EMRs frequently without a problem. I guess the “new nurse” they were looking for is a new grad who has recently has their hands on EPIC and the experienced nurse they were looking for must have been a nurse with experience on the floor and EPIC. Ad was too vague as to what they obviously wanted. Hired the next week by a large hospital in OKC, so all worked out anyways. Just disappointing how the process went.
Great to work for. Great people to work with. Overall good atmosphere and environment. I didn’t work there for long because of personal reasons not company reasons. Would work for them again if needed

I completed a phone screening with a recruiter first and then the nurse manager of the unit I applied for called me directly. The conversation with the nurse manager was less of an interview and more of an explanation of the unit.

Recruiter, date set, met with panel, awaited response. Introduced selves, asked about me. Panel set up was intimidating and made me really uncomfortable. It was my first one. I was myself and voiced concerns and asked questions.
