I thought the recruiter I spoke to on the phone was great and did everything to make the process seamless.
I am completely disappointed with the technical person who interviewed me.
This is not because I received an email saying "we do not have anything that matches your interest". FB should not have started this process is they knew that they do not have anything of interest to offer.
Coming to the person who interviewed me. I thought he was very disinterested in the process and he started the interview with a bias in mind. One needs to understand that this interview is as much important to his company as me. In the short window of time he gets with me, he needs to be ideal representative of his company's culture.
This person working with FB for more than 10 years (straight out of college) does not make others any less deserving of the job. There is a basic decency you can exude from your body language and tone of voice. I wish FB just does not invest in young people who end up rejecting not so young people (15+ years experience) away. It is putting company in a harms way.
