The technical interview consisted of three rounds, each lasting about 45 minutes. In the first round, I was asked to design a scalable architecture for a fictional e-commerce platform, which allowed me to showcase my problem-solving skills and understanding of distributed systems. The second round focused on coding challenges, where I implemented a few algorithms in Python (Meta's preferred language). While the problems were challenging, I appreciated the opportunity to demonstrate my coding skills. The third and final round was an architecture discussion, where I presented my design for building a high-availability, low-latency backend system. This was a great chance to highlight my knowledge of cloud computing, databases, and microservices.
