I was referred by a friend who is an employee, for various software engineer roles and also had the option for manager roles but I declined it. First approach was a screening call with HR, it went well, we both were very motivated and excited to go onboard with the recruitment process. I got a voucher to a practice site to go over data structures and algorithms, nothing too fancy. I was told that I can set the professional interviews as I saw it fit, so I took my time with a full time job and family with children and mostly covered the material on the weekends. The entire process took about 6 months and 6 interviews out of 7, with all the conversations, emails, scheduling availability and what not, the process was very nice as long as it was their interest to get me as a talent. 5 interviews I got 100% mark, the 6th interview I got a low mark and I have no idea why, i tried to get information about it but nothing, the 7th interview i refused to take before I got the 6th interview right. It was important for me to pass the process with great marks. At this point, communication stopped, I sent couple of emails to the HR but no replies, so I waited and waited, 2 months after my last email that I sent asking for another chance at the 6th interview and stated again that I don't want to proceed before completing every step with high marks I logged in back to the careers page and saw that all the positions that I was interviewing for were gone, and that was exactly when all of a sudden Zuki got a $300B kick in the nuts and it seemed that the company is going to a bad direction. Little that I knew and to my surprise, my process with the company ended with no notice. Nothing!
Wouldn't recommend it to anyone this feeling, They took 6 months of my life and my family's life just to vanish in the dark with no explanations. It left a bad taste in the mouth and I felt so embarrassed that I didn't trust my instincts right ahead and decided to give the company the chance to reply and proceed the recruitment process, needless to say that in this 6 months time I declined other offers from large tech and cyber companies because I was after the dream of becoming part of the community of the company I admired.
