I received a friendly call from a recruiter inviting me to an interview. Shortly after that, I was notified that I had been selected for the next stage to meet the hiring manager, which was scheduled for two weeks later. Unfortunately, three days before the interview, I checked the Meta careers portal and saw that my application status had been changed from "Active" to "Not Moving Forward" without any prior notice. This news was unexpected and disappointing, so I contacted the recruiter. However, I had to wait two days before receiving a response that I was not successful. It would have been helpful if I had been informed earlier, as I had already prepared for the interview.
