I received an interview request within several weeks of applying. The interviewer was a recently transitioned consultant who decided to move to talent acquisition. It is clear that Metis has a lot of work to do when it comes to conducting interviews.

Entrevista
The process took about a month in total and was very smooth and well-organized. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, thoughtful, and genuinely interested in understanding my background and motivations. Communication was timely throughout.
Round 1: Introductory Interview
The first round was with an associate from the firm. It was conversational and focused on my experience, how I approached problem-solving, and why I was interested in Metis.
Round 2: Case + Experience Deep Dive
The second round combined a case discussion with questions about my prior experience. The case was practical, touching on business and data strategy topics, and I appreciated that it reflected real client situations. The interviewer guided the conversation well and encouraged structured, logical thinking. More focused on strategy than any quant.
Round 3: Panel Interview + Presentation
The final round involved a behavioral interview with a panel, followed by preparing a deck and presenting it. The time to prepare the presentation made this stage more challenging, but it was a fair way to demonstrate communication skills, clarity of thought, and how you’d approach a client-facing scenario. The panel was engaged and provided thoughtful feedback.

Entrevista
Six weeks after applying online, I received an interview request. The interviewer seemed like a recently promoted Manager tasked with simpler, non-client tasks such as conducting interviews. She seemed unprepared and rushed. It became clear the she was not familiar with my resume or my prior experience in Big 4 consulting.
After listening to her on her her 11-minute introduction, it became obvious that this is a company in its infancy and their employees are not at par with those in competing firms.
To my surprise, the interviewer offered insights into the company's culture which did not promote the org as any competition to more established firms. The company mostly expands on their existing client relationships. It does not respond to rfps because it does not receive rfps. The interviewer explained that they're not seen as the primary go-to consultancy firm by most of their clients.
Also, the interviewer revealed limited opportunities for training or skilling-up. Her comments about training boiled down to self-study or relying on YouTube videos.
I'm reluctant to recommend this company even to those just coming out of college because the culture seemed hollow and lacks maturity. This company does not offer enough opportunities to establish a successful mindset to solve business-world problems.
