The interview process was typical with a few phone calls followed by an on-site interview loop. Thumb-up to the interviewers who were welcoming and professional. My overall experience was more neutral due to the poor way the company declined to pursue.
I understand the legal reasons why most recruiters are not giving any feedback. However we spent a day learning to know each others. The field is small enough that we will eventually brush shoulders again. As an industry we can do better.

The team seems to embody the goal of working all together. You will be scrutinized for behavioral details while interacting with everyone you meet from the moment you push the door for the interview.
The company is hiring with a focus on improving its control over the quality of delivery. It is unclear whether the quality issues are endemic to the market at large or due to the hurdles of a maturing product, possibly both. A way to tilt the scale in your favor would be to prepare in advance, as the nature of the product requires a unique way of thinking about quality control.
It would pay off to be prepared to discuss what the 6 company values mean to the team and to yourself. I did not prepare well enough on that front.
You will recognize some patterns in questions that are typical of "bar raisers” in larger firms. I sensed that two of the interviewers may not have seen me as fitting the mold, possibly hoping for a candidate with a pedigree similar to their own.
I believe I was not hired because I came in with too much of a startup mind frame, where expediency primes. They may prefer a more rounded approach. Again, the team seems to be amazing professionals truly working together.
