      Candidatura

Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 4 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Mindful Support Services (Seattle, WA) em mar. de 2025

      Entrevista

-Initial Phone Screen -In person interview Phone screen went wonderfully so did the in person interview. The only thing that was a bit odd to me was that I believe it was supposed to more of a panel interview but only one person showed up, and it still went great. What went a bit off the rails with the recruitment process is that I received a call offering me the position and I verbally accepted. The phone call was with the manager I had the interview with and was pretty positive that they were going to be my manager. The call was prefaced with confirming who I was since there were multiple candidates with my name. I was given first day instructions on this call. I then checked my email for the recruitment/background check links and immediately filled them out. When I went to give my banking information and SSN on ADP, it listed my manager as someone else, which struck me as odd but I figured I'd clarify later. I waited almost a full week to hear back and had even immediately sent a follow up email with a question after getting off the phone and being given the offer. I then decided to reach out the following Thursday, nearly a week later to confirm things were all good for my impending start date (that Monday) and that's when I received an extremely curt email telling me the offer was rescinded with zero context, it felt extremely and unnecessarily legalistic. I understand Washington State is an at will state, so no reason technically has to be given, but I truly do not understand it. The only thing that seemed sort of plausible considering my initial follow up email that was ignored right after my offer is that they called the wrong person with my name. I then responded twice, the second time was after I realized I most likely wouldn't receive a reason and wanted to explain what I thought the other possibility may have been and accepted it for what it was and thanked them. I then received an additional curt and extremely legalistic email giving me no information, and it felt like from their first email rescinding the offer that I was suddenly being treated like a serial harasser and not a candidate that they took the time to recruit and hire. I was really excited for this position but it seems like there may have been small red flags along the way. For transparency: I had received confirmation that my background check was clear (in their last email) and was told my references checked out when I had initially received my verbal offer. For future candidates, just keep an eye out for small red flags and take them into consideration before accepting. Interviewing is a full time job within itself and candidates just want to feel valued through the entirety of the recruitment cycle, even if it doesn't work out.
