I applied online and then was replied to through email. This is how i was given the time and date for the email. This is also where a copy of my resume was requested. The interview was at the Pasadena location, which is very far for me, on a day I had specifically marked as unavailable. I arrived late because of a mix up with my ride but was still allowed to interview. First, however, I was told to fill out an application at a desk downstairs and once I had completed it I was taken upstairs for the interview. The interview consisted of asking me about my schedule, my availability, dropping the bomb on me that training is takes anywhere from two to four weeks, and why i want to work there. Overall I felt that the interviewer was pretty knowledgeable about what the program consists of, if not the actual artistic processes I'd be learning about. For a part timer it's also concerning for me when my having a three day availability seems like it is an issue for a part time gig. Especially when I have a lot of experience taking art classes myself and they are generally about 5 hours. This may be because of a difference in class length, though. There was also time alotted at the end for questions I had for her, though I'd been asking them before then, and this is how I got clarification about the pay scale.
