1h 30 minute interview with a Senior data engineer from the company where I was asked to solve an algorithm problem and asked about its time complexity and underlying data structure uses.

First had an hour long call with the DS head. He connected from another country and we discussed about my background and projects. I was moved on to next round of technical interview the same week. I had a zoom call with 2 fell DS team members and they grilled me with all possible technical question, most which I answered. Questions were based on Data science related, machine learning, bias, variance, overfitting issues, ML models, elbow method, model deployment, etc. The call lasted for more than 2 hours. After a week, I was sent a take home assignment. It was one of the grueling projects I have ever worked on. I was given 7 days to submit. We have to come up with news ways of tackling the data and traditional methods wont work. It had 2 parts in it. Maybe they wanted someone to work for free to solve their issue or something.. After strenuously working on the assignment, sent it. But I didn't hear back from them. after 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks, no response. COVID-19 hit USA and they had a good reason to give - business not good, so not hiring now!! Tremendous waste of time giving the interview and doing the assignment! Dont ever apply to this company. Worst thing is they wont even give you the right reason for not selecting you!
