I am a 2013 passout CS BTech candidate. I was already frustrated after repeated failures in Pune, Bangalore and Hyderabad job attempts. I had applied as a Fresher for Software Engineer position in this company in 2015. I did not know much about this company. None of my friends ever heard of this company. I had a telephonic round in Java. Interviewer asked me very basic Java questions. I got selected. In the Face 2 Face interview, i was asked to write Java programs. I was not prepared. I took long time and made many mistakes in coding. Interviewer was furious and pushing me to rectify the code. Finally after 4 hours of Java coding, I gave up. They asked me to come back after Lunch 2:30PM for Analytics round. I was confused. Analytics round was even painful. They asked me several puzzles, theorems. I was solving puzzles for hours. 7PM my interview was over. They told me my result will be informed in 7 days. I got call on 4th day for a HR round. In the HR round, they told me I have been selected for Software Engineer Trainee for 4 to 6 months period on Android platform. During training there will be no pay. After successful training they will Interview me again and if selected they will offer me Salary. I was upset. I feel cheated. I was expecting a job. Not another training. They asked me to inform in 7 days. On the 7th day, I called them and told them I am coming. I was not happy. But after no job for past 2 years of unsuccessful attempts, I did not have many choices. 4 months of training went so fast. I learnt many things in Android. I was offered job with 1.5L starting salary. My career started. Now, after 2 years, I am in Bangalore leading the Android Team in a startup with 8L package.
