We have designed the questions for the skills interview to assess all candidates within a role for the same skills and qualifications. This helps mitigate interviewer bias and enable consistent candidate evaluation so we can make evidence-based decisions. We understand not all candidates have the same experience across their current and previous roles, but we design questions to help us best understand how their experience will predict success in that role based on the responsibilities it has at Modern Tribe. Our QA Analysts play a role in helping teams to mitigate project risk, so we do ask about a candidate's experience with risk management and their experience identifying risks as part of QAs involvement early in project/feature planning. We understand it might not be part of the QA role within all organizations so not every candidate will be able to answer the same way based on their experience.
