Candidatei-me por meio de recrutador(a). Fui entrevistado pela Modo Modo Agency (Atlanta, GA) em out. de 2024
Entrevista
I went through 3 rounds of interviews which I felt were great. First was a call, second on zoom and third in person (which lasted an hour). The unfortunate part is that I didn’t hear a follow up after my in person which was a bit disheartening. I sent an email asking for a follow up and expressing my interest but didn’t hear back. That felt very unprofessional and a little disheartening as I had a great feeling about the company. I ended up having a better opportunity presented after so it all worked out, but be warned about their professionalism.

How do you view the current outlook on agencies in the US?
There were a few interviews, in person, virtual and over the phone. They were communicative throughout.
There are 3-4 folks you will meet in the office, so be prepared to speak to more than one person.

An intense interrogation panel with the worst energy I have ever felt in my life. The phone interview with the CEO was amazing, but the team of 5 people that panel interviewed me in person was horrific. I was told (not asked) that I have an "alpha" personality and would I be able to tone it down. I am a woman and the panel was all women. One of the interviewers sat back in her chair with arms crossed glaring at me through the entire interview. Then each person sort of went around and talked about how difficult their jobs were, how much of a slog it was, and how I needed to feel ok not getting any support. All of the questions centered around my ability to control my emotions and work heads down in a (What they described) as a pretty horrible job from a team too busy to support each other. The interview was full of weird "gotcha" style questions and no positives of the company were discussed AT ALL. Just testing me against their most negative scenarios over and over again. Some of the highlights: "Do you cry??" "Can you handle no one caring about your opinion?" "Do you know when to be quiet in a room?" "Can you handle someone writing 'garbage' on your work as the only feedback and not getting upset about it?" "Will going 27 rounds on a deliverable exhaust you?" "You keep talking about psychological safety...what does that mean and why should I care?" "I do not want to be sitting here at table in 6 weeks with you crying that you cannot handle this job" I was also asked to talk about a specific time I had a conflict at work and after giving an example one of the interviewers critiqued my response and questioned my account of a work story they asked for. It was unprofessional, rude, and I wish they hadn't asked me to drive 90 minutes to their offices just for that unproductive spectacle. I withdrew my application.
