Very cool process: screening call, take home (design system), tech interview (live coding a real project), product sense interview, eng manager interview, offer)
it was a very nice process that I really enjoyed

The process wasn't too bad, typical behavioral questions asking about previous experiences like leading projects, etc. Hiring manager seemed well-spoken but did not have a technical background. The coding is now live, not take-home as some have mentioned in the past.

This is precisely the part I felt didn't make sense to me, when they asked to implement an API endpoint in specially in Django. Now, if you know Django and have played with their clunky ORM and QuerySets you will do fine. I just found it kind of dumb that they allow you to use AI but as a trap to penalize candidates who may be very well-versed in Python or other languages but don't care very much about Django and could 100% learn it as needed. If I were part of the hiring committee I would focus on foundational problem solving and CS fundamentals vs hiring folks who have specific framework knowledge as that's surface-level and everchanging vs problem solving and CS fundamentals.
