I applied to MongoDB directly through their website. First step was an informational call with a recruiter to explain the role and company, and my interests and skillset. Second step was a technical phone screen with a senior engineer on the team I was interviewing for. Third step was a 6 hour onsite, where I met with 5 different people (hiring manager, 3 different engineers on the team, and an engineer on a different team). I received an offer within less than 1 business day.

Some behavioral questions and a rate limiter coding question with a staff engineer. They really wanted full proof code with no syntax errors and no interviewer guidance. Felt like the interviewer was not attentive.
