I spoke to the hiring manager over the phone first and he provided me with tons of information about the company and job. I then interviewed with him and the president of the company in person. They were both down to earth and straight forward. The hiring manager did a good job keeping me up to date about their decision making progress and let me know they went with someone else. It was great he provided their reasoning. I appreciated the feedback!
