I had a phone interview and an in person interview. The in-person interview was with who would have been my direct report, two group interviews, the CEO, and HR. During the in-person interview I asked if there was any reason I would not move to the next interview and the individual whom I was interviewing with said I "looked too young." Despite having extensive experience (more then what was required for the position), I was not selected (nor would I have accepted) because I was younger then this individual and did not meet HER age requirement. There were other "red flags" during the process as employees complained about issues within the organization. Despite a few bad apples, the CEO was very kind and had her heart in the right place to truly make a difference. I was notified in a timely manner via email that they would be seeking other candidates.
