Interview process consisted of 1. HR Screen 2. Hiring Manager Screen with Live Coding (SQL) 3. Coding Round (Python) 4. Panel Interview 5. Hiring Manager Interview 6. Potential C Level Interview The recruiter and team did a good job of coordinating interviews and giving more context on nature of interviews when asked. The coding rounds use Deepnote which is fairly easy for coding. However, the hiring manager himself did a poor job of selling the role. In fact he did the opposite and said the teams in Motive work in silos which itself waived a big red flag to me and good chance I would have rejected if given an offer. Another note was too many rounds in the interview process. They wanted a data scientist to do just forecasting of financials which is fine but not fine for those who seek to be more collaborative (like me). The hiring manager also did not setup Deepnote correctly and that caused issue for me in the coding round. I did tell him that it wasn't ideal and chose to be candid about it even if it hurt my chances. He also seemed to complain about a lot of different teams in the org and I was not sure if he he himself was happy. Apart from that the process was smooth but too many steps for a role that had limited scope.

Interview took 2 weeks. I had to fastrack my interview process and the recruiters were very helpful with that. Overall had a positive experience during the interview process. Decisions on the interviews were communicated the next day.
