I applied for this role on 26th March 2024 via LinkedIn. I received an email from a manager at the company on the same day, asking if they could set up an interview within the next few days. We got this set up for the following afternoon. I was asked to prepare some examples of social media design I had done previously. The interview was fantastic and they really sold me on the role. My presented work seemed to be up to standard and the scope of the role seemed like a good fit for me. I felt like we had a good rapport and I left the call really wanting the position. During the call it was mentioned that we could set up another call with somebody who would be my line manager. I followed up on this call later on in the day with an email thanking them, and outlining my availability for another call. After not hearing back for a few business days (6 days in total but this included the Easter weekend,) I emailed again, and got a response that day asking if I could now complete a test project as the next step, and that if I let them know this was okay, they would send over the details the same day. I replied within 30 minutes saying I'd love to completely a test project. I didn't hear back until well over 24 hours later, but I had the details of what I needed to do. I was given a tight deadline of one day to complete the project (seeing the details when I woke up on Thursday, and the submission deadline being by Friday.) I completed the test project and sent it over within the deadline. However, I didn't receive confirmation that this had been received until over two days later (on the Saturday.) I was told that it would be reviewed early the following week, and that I would hear back from them. I never heard back from My Biz Niche. I followed-up on this straight away to acknowledge I had received their email, and then again mid-way through the following week, and again 10 days after that. None of my emails were ever replied to. I'm not sure what the reason for this is. I hope everything is okay with the person I was speaking to. There was a third person copied into all of our emails and at no point have they reached out either. I find this extremely unprofessional and disappointing, especially because I took the time to complete a test project for them, to a tight deadline, and they never bothered to give me feedback on it. Needless to say I had much higher hopes from a company with a near-perfect score on Glassdoor. I hope any potential candidates see my review and think twice about dedicating time to this company.
