Phone call with senior researcher from my lab of interest. Discussed my background, previous projects, and what I was interested in working on. Learned about the lab and its current projects. Friendly and received the offer at the end of the phone call. Interview was not too long and straightforward.

Nothing difficult or unexpected. Questions were all on my background and previous projects.
Lots of steps and technical questions. Just prepare beforehand and you should be fine. 3 rounds of interviews with different levels of management. Overall, not bad just need to be knowledgeable about the role applying to.
1 on 1 interview with future manager. Standard behavioral questions followed with examples of me tackling projects in school. Definitely looking at more soft skills than my technical acumen. These are words to reach minimum
Contacted within a few weeks after application. Interviewed with team and head of the team. The whole process was done online. No highly technical questions only about my past experiences.
