I applied at the beginning of Jan., got a call about one or two weeks later. First, they do a short phone interview and ask you about your prior work experience, why you want to work for Nike and about your availability.
Next, we scheduled a group interview at the Nike location that I was applying to (Ontario Mills). My group consisted of four other gentlemen and myself. I believe two managers were the ones that interviewed us and they take turns asking each of us a question. Everybody responds once to the question, no matter who was asked first. While you respond, both of them write down parts of what you're saying, so don't freak out. It lasts about an hour and they end it by asking you if you have any questions for them, so take advantage!
Lastly, a day later after the group interview, I received another call asking if I was available to set up a final face-to-face interview with the Head Athlete at the store, aka the GM. I agreed and set it up. When I arrived there that morning, there was at least 15-20 other "finalists" for the position. The GM takes one person at a time and interviews can be as short as 2 minutes or as long as 20 minutes, but she told us it didn't matter. I get the feeling that this was just to see who would fit in the most yet provide the needed level of support at the store.
After all of this, they said they'd call me within a week and let me know. I received an email asking me to allow Nike to run a full background check on me. It's been over a week and still no call so I'm assuming they moved on, but who knows. It's been over a month dealing with this whole process.
