Really interesting and cool people. Easy questions like “why nycla” and “what area of law are you interested in”. Overall, this was a really cool and interesting process that I enjoyed very much and would do again
Candidatei-me por meio de recrutador(a). O processo levou 2 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela NYCLA (New York, NY) em mar. de 2015
Entrevista
Had an enjoyable, conversational phone interview with HR Manager, although it sounded like the entire process would be a long, tedious one. In-person interview was bizarre. No one greeted me. I had to wander around a huge, empty floor looking for the hiring manager. I was then kept waiting for some time. Interview was long, even though it was obvious we weren't clicking. The hiring manager made it clear that the NPO was not interested in organization or efficiency. She seemed very turned off by my presenting ideas for how I could contribute to growth. I guess they're stuck in their disorganized ways? She was easily confused by my questions (she didn't know what I meant when I asked about the "organizational structure" for example), and also appeared bothered by my choice of questions. She kept prompting me to ask her more questions, saying, "what else?" over and over. There was an on-the-spot "writing test" for which I was given barely any instructions. It was very confusing. The whole in-person experience has a "twilight zone" vibe. I never heard from them.
