Candidatei-me de outra forma. O processo levou 5 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela NYSERDA (West Valley, NY) em jun. de 2014
Entrevista
I was first contacted through email by the program manager to setup an informal phone interview (was told it would be more of a discussion than a formal interview) the following week. On that call I talked with the same program manager that emailed me and the program director. It was a pleasant discussion where they went over in more detail about the organization and the project I would work on. We also talked a little more about my educational background. A few days later I was contacted by the office manager to setup an in-person interview and to fill out a formal application form that was to be sent to HR.
At the in-person interview, I was interviewed by six people in total including the two I talked with on the phone in addition to another program manager, the staff geologist, the office manager, and an HR manager on video conference. The first half had the team asking questions about my work and education history including many of the typical background questions one would expect (ie. strengths/weaknesses, difficult situations, etc). They also asked for details about certain programs and applications I had listed on my resume and cover letter. They then concluded with a technical question about how I would handle a certain scenario. The second half of the interview I got to ask a bunch of questions which concluded with an one on one discussion with the HR manager about expected compensation and what the next steps in the process were.
After waiting a few days after the estimated date that I was given to hear a response, I emailed the HR manager inquiring about an update. I then received a message that they were impressed with my background and experience but no thanks. As I know they were looking for a more experienced candidate I wasn't surprised, but was glad I got the opportunity. Overall I thought the process was pleasant although would have liked a quicker notice that they were no longer interested.

What three words would your last supervisor use to describe you?

I received a call from the recruiting specialist 3 months after I submitted my resume and cover letter. Followed up with a 45 min standard screening phone interview, and scheduled an interview for 6 weeks later. The 3 hr. interview was a group interview with the Recruiting Specialist, 2 Sr. Project Managers and a Program Manager stopped in for a half an hour. It was a little weird that I didn't meet the direct supervisor for the job during the hiring process.
