I filled a questionnaire and received an email that the hiring manager was interested in conducting an interview with me. I scheduled a phone interview which went well and the hiring manager decided to include me in the second round of interviews which took place in person at the office where I would be working. The interview was more like a "get to know you" type of conversation and it was not too formal or uncomfortable. It took about 30-40 minutes. I thought that I was going to be selected for the role since I was asked to submit employer contact info/references. I'm not sure if the other candidates were stronger or if a former employer may have said something that would have somehow kept me from getting the job, but I was very disappointed when I wasn't accepted for the role. The interviews themselves were straight forward and pleasant, but I did not like that I was put in a position where I had to notify my boss that I made it to the final round and would possibly be leaving if I got the job only to not get it. Awkward!!

Entrevista
HR interview then meeting with lab manager. Pretty laid back, mostly behavioral questions. Walk through your resume. Simple behavioral questions such as describe the hardest thing you’ve had to overcome.

Entrevista
I had the worst experience with NYU. I applied for the job in August, got a call in early October for an interview for the end of October. I went in, interviewed with 6 different people including HR and it took about five hours. I had to go to a different building for HR and then come back to finish up the interview. Everyone in the department said I would be a great fit, but I didn't hear back until November when I emailed asking about the position. They filled it with someone who had direct experience. In December I got a call asking if I would still be interested in the job, the person they hired quit. I received an offer, sat with HR, went over what my first day would be like, and never heard from them again. Called two weeks later and was told they were still interviewing. I would never work for them.
