5 interviews in less than three weeks. Incredibly intensive, met with a lot of people in rapid succession to make sure someone was in place by the start of the fall. The questions were intensive but all within the scope of the role. I think the hardest part was interviews within units and then with HR that seemed disconnected from the unit itself.

I had a 20 minute screen call with HR, then a 45 minute zoom with the team I would be working on (2 people), followed by a 6-hour on-campus interview where I met with 4 people in other departments who collaborate with this team. I had to give a presentation (unpaid labor). Importantly - I did not receive a call back after my final round. After reaching out to the hiring manager, I was told that the hiring team cannot reach out to applicants who did not receive an offer until the selected individual starts.
