I was contacted from Linkedin for the position, at first the process was really quick, the first 4 steps of the process were: - First Interview with a Software Architect - Coding Challenge - Second Interview with the Delivery Manager - Third Interview with the customer Everything went very well, all of the people were really nice at the interviews, very friendly people. I just finished all the interviews and assessments and I had to wait 2 weeks to get a response from the recruiter, she told me that the last interview wasn´t successfully and they want to make another meeting with the manager from México to train and send me with another customer. I had the interview with the manager from México and another Software Engineer but the manager didn't like that I was using my cellphone to take the interview, he asked me if I had a computer to take the interview, I didn't like his attitude but I answered yes and proceeded to use the computer. Then he complained about the place where I was taking the interview (I was in my house) and he told me that it was preferable that I was taking the interview on the boardwalk or on the beach and he is not going to continue with the interview, also he called me unprofessional. My house is simple, and I don´t have to be ashamed about that, so I called the recruiter and told her that I was not going to continue with the selection process. The worst experience that I have ever had in a selection process, apparently the manager prefers appearance over skills.
