When I was a bus driver with Amtrak Thruway I had a passenger come in off of a late train and miss their connection to Lodi,CA. They would have to wait six hours for the next train.I knew my bus would go there but not until my next trip. I asked for permission to take them with me to Stockton and then back to Lodi on my northbound trip. This resulted in happy customers getting home 4.5 hours sooner than they would have.
