I interviewed for the Sr. Program Manager role at Natera and completed multiple rounds. While I appreciated the company’s mission and the opportunity to speak with cross-functional leaders, the experience fell short of expectations.
One senior team member, who identified as a leader, abruptly cut off my responses and labeled me a “job hopper,” despite my clearly progressive career with internal promotions, overlapping part-time work, and advanced degrees. This was not only inaccurate, it was unprofessional and dismissive. It set a tone that felt more evaluative than collaborative.
Additionally, the job posting was closed while I was still interviewing, with no communication or explanation. That raised questions about whether the role was truly open during the process.
If you want thoughtful, high-performing professionals to join your team, create an interview environment that reflects mutual respect and clarity. Leadership tone and transparency matter, especially in roles centered on execution and cross-functional alignment.

Entrevista
Recruiter reached out through LinkedIn about Position 1. Went through 1 phone screen with VP and 4 zoom interviews. I was told they were interested to make a verbal offer but came back 3 weeks later saying the position has been cancelled; A different hiring manager for Position 2 reached out to me after another month. Went through 1 session of 4 zoom interviews and another session of 3 zoom interviews the week after. A verbal offered was given 3 days later.
