The interview process was straightforward and well organised. It consisted of an online video interview with pre-recorded questions focused on motivation, teamwork, safety, and learning new skills. Clear instructions were provided and the process felt fair and supportive.

The first round was a digital interview via Hire Vue. They asked 5 questions which I had 1 minute to prepare for (each) then 4 chances (also each) to record an answer of up to 3 minutes. The questions were: What interests you in National Grid and an apprenticeship? Tell us about a time where you solved a problem when you had confusing information. Tell us about a time you had to follow the rules. Tell us about a time you had to learn a new skill. Tell us about a time you did what was right, even though there was an easier option.
