Got an invite for screening zoom call in a day after applying. Recruiter asked several general questions with cold tone and no interest in what I answered. Then completed interview. On my question if I could ask any question about role she said "No". Really disappointing experience from recruiter. I emailed notification to remove me from consideration.I was seeking a process that reflects respect to the candidates, allow open dialogue with warm tone and opportunity for candidates to ask questions and better understand the role and team. I believe this type of exchange helps both sides to determine the best mutual fit.

I had a poor experience interviewing. I applied one day after the job was posted, had plenty of relevant experience. I received an email from the recruiter "Z" inviting me to a zoom interview. I replied the same day letting Z know that the scheduling link I was sent did not work. 2 days later I sent a follow up email asking for a working link. It was provided to me and I was able to book an interview the next business day. 45 minutes before my Zoom interview I received an email from Z canceling my interview because they chose to go with candidates who "were already in the interviewing process". I too could have been well within the interviewing process had Z responded to my email in a timely manner. Very disappointing to have to "stay on top of" a recruiter to be able to book an interview, then be canceled on last minute because other candidates were further along.
