Very negative experience with the interview process. Was asked to self-introduce immediately before being bombarded with many generic and backward interview questions by the HR Li**. All this while the hiring manager was silent. Only towards the end of the interview was I given the opportunity to ask questions, and that was when I finally got to ask what the role encompasses (as the JD was so generic that you would see it in all analytics role), which I had already stated that I am here to understand more about the JD. My feeling post-interview was that the hiring manager was either very passive or they have already found their hiree, and the HR personnel was just focused on trying to get you to share all your negative experiences. Was also asked by HR how I knew the job was for corporate finance because it wasnt stated in their posted JD. I was appalled at being asked since it should have been details made known prior to application but I somehow managed to know because it was mentioned in the email title for the interview invitation. Was this meant to be kept secret?? I came for the interview to understand more about the job roles and left the interview thinking I should keep a ten foot pole from this role. The interviewers need to be better trained on the process instead of wasting interviewees' time.
