I was contacted via email to have the initial screening call with someone from HighlightTA. The recruiter who I spoke to sounded like he was in a rush and once I had finished answering his questions, he just ended the conversation and was about to hang up before I asked him what the next steps were. It was quite unprofessional.

An outside organization, HighlightTA, coordinated most of the logistics during the interview process including initial screening, communicating and scheduling interviews, and interview follow up/offer communication.
I initially met with a recruiter with HighlightTA for an initial screening. Next, I met with two Implementation Managers for another interview, this was my first meeting with the organization, Neon One. The next step included a technical project managing sample data to import into Neon One CRM, this is what the job entails. The final interview, scheduled the same day as communication, involved reviewing the project and answering additional questions about the company culture. This final interview was with the organization, Neon One.
After the projects, multiple interviews annd flexibility regarding scheduling interviews, my experience declined. After receiving an offer the urgency, lack of effective communication and lack of empathy experienced by HighlightTA proved to be unfavorable. In addition to exploring if I am a right fit for the position and organization the interview process should allow me to explore if the organization is a good fit for the interviewee and related goals.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience interviewing for a finance role here.
The recruiting process was confusing and poorly communicated. I received an interview invite for an HR screen but wasn’t told if it was phone or video, and my questions to the recruiter went unanswered for several days. This lack of basic communication was disappointing.
During the interview, I was repeatedly asked about payments—a subject not mentioned in the job description on LinkedIn or the company website. When I sought clarification, I learned the recruiter was actually scheduling interviews for a different, already-filled role. This mismatch led to wasted time and effort on my part.
After the interviews, I was left waiting with no responses to multiple follow-ups. This lack of respect for candidates’ time and effort stands in stark contrast to the company’s stated mission-driven values. Claiming to be mission-driven while treating candidates poorly feels hypocritical and disingenuous.
I hope Neon One reflects on their hiring process and aligns their candidate experience with the values they promote.
