Have you ever heard the term flimflam man? This is the classic bait and switch; I need to talk to my manager for approval. .. Interviewed on 3/20/2019, verbal offer on the spot, then when it came time for specifics including offer in writing there was a “well I need to speak with my manager” and we will provide the offer by 12 PM the following day. Crickets… then by close of business the following day, not so much, full week goes by then an offer for a position reporting to the position originally interviewed for and did not match the job description or discussion. In other words, post a position, then low ball with some excuse as to why we need to reconsider, and offer a lower position with only the offer of written confirmation after you except. Change the specs on a home improvement after the verbal is offered… When I said the position you are offering does not match what we discussed or the job posted on their site and other job boards there was no acknowledgement or confirmation, just a “well okay”. The operating model aligns too much with the above bait and switch. No benefits discussed during the final offer or any explanation as to why the original salary plus bonus is thousands less than advertised. The job offered is much too like the same pressure techniques of aluminum siding salesmen. The Company brand name compromised FOREVER as well as any honor but at least consistent with being siding salesmen pressuring people to "sign today" for the best offer... I should have known better and trusted too much in people having good faith in business dealings with honor.
