I applied through a job listing on Indeed. I was contacted shortly afterward by someone from Neuronanny who scheduled a video interview. The interview was audio-only—the interviewer did not turn on their camera and recorded the call without informing me beforehand. The questions asked were thoughtful and related to behavioral support and special needs care, which initially made the opportunity seem legitimate.
After the interview, I was told I was accepted into their caregiver pool and sent onboarding materials via Google Forms and Dropbox. At that point, I noticed multiple red flags, including unprofessional onboarding processes, unverifiable staff/stock photos used, and suspicious website changes. I ultimately chose not to move forward and reported the company to the FTC and BBB.
