Applied via e-mail on early August of 2018. I had an initial call and was asked to go on-site for the first interview. Despite the fact that I was leaving two hours away from the offices of the company and there was no expenses covered, I accepted the invitation as there was no other way for an initial screening. The interview was focused on my background, my interest in the field of IT Security and my future plans. The interviewers seemed to be pleased with my answers till the question regarding my salary expectations. I replied only by stating my current salary. The statement of the interviewer consisted more or less of the following: This is too much money that only the company that you are working can offer. Therefore, you will either need to search for something else (some other company) or you will need to be financially supported by your parents. I have made a considerable amount of interviews. This was the first time that I had no words to describe such situation; it was just unacceptable. No need to state that they never got back to me with a reply/explanation/feedback; ridiculous.
