White plains - 9th Judicial District. Applying was relatively easy, no issues with interview scheduling. Actual interview felt very robotic, like we were items passing along on a conveyor belt. The interviews were 20 minute blocks, when I arrived the person ahead of me was leaving and when I left the person behind me was being called in. In the interview room, 2 people were sitting at the table, with 3-4 people on a big screen via Zoom. They all introduced themselves and then jumped right into interview questions - pretty general questions focused on issue resolution and skills (discussing specific things you’ve worked on recently and how those skills apply to this job, an instance you’ve had an issue with a co worker, hypothetical EEO complaint, etc.) While they were probably all lovely people (honestly the zoom ppl from BFE upstate NY seemed cool) - the interview lacked any semblance of personality. They each took turns reading stock interview questions from a packet, in no particular order, and didn’t ask a single question outside of those guidelines. They didn’t ask me anything about myself - that felt strange. Cold, robotic, bookish people. I suppose that’s to be expected for the court attorney crowd. I left feeling like it was not my kind of vibe and didn’t get a call back so it’s just as well! Lol. I will give a thumbs up because they’re just doing their jobs, but man do they desperately need some pizzazz.
