Recruiter called to have initial chat and arrange interviews. First interview with manager, mainly went through portfolio (expect to go thoroughly through your portfolio and talk about processes and your involvement in your current team) The manager explained they are remote first but are looking to go in 2 days a week in the long term, didn’t really get a feel of people and work culture she mainly talked about how dynamics of the team. I was invited to 2nd stage to complete a task, which was with manager and lead. The recruiter had explained they needed to move quickly so the two interviews where 2 days apart. Task suggests 2 hours to complete however it is a very vague brief which was quite hard to understand the outcome of what they wanted to see. I think that you definitely need more than 2 hours to complete to a good standard. Task was on figma. They are using google meet which was a pain for me as I couldn’t see the participants at the same time as presenting my screen which wasn’t great. They mostly wanted to hear about your approach and processes. Feedback given however was not constructive at all just generic considering task effort and my flexibility, for junior level I was disappointed in this. However I felt this in the interviews, didn’t feel much warmth through out the process just a rush; however recruiter was great and friendly!
