Jobs seemed like a really great fit. HR reached out to me on LinkedIn about the role. The hiring manager was enthusiastic about my experience. The job description didn’t match our discussion so I asked for clarification and they were very prompt in their follow up. I progressed to the in person interview with HR and the hiring manager. Before the in person, they had you complete two personality tests.
I was then invited to a final interview with numerous leaders (5 one on ones plus meet the team) over 3 1/2 hours. I expressed my excitement for the role and asked a few follow up questions: was I the finalist, what was each leader’s role so I can best come prepared, and suggested that we discuss salary ahead of time to be respectful of everyone’s time.
The reaction was a 180° — they said they offered the job to someone else. This came as quite a surprise based on the way they were talking.
The entire process was about 4 weeks, would have been at least 6 with the final interview
